Jordon Sims
Jordon Sims is a Founding Partner at Imperium Global Advisors, where he leverages deep Capitol Hill experience and global government relations expertise to help clients in defense, energy, and technology achieve their policy objectives. A Silicon Valley native with a national security foundation, Jordon specializes in translating complex technical and business challenges into actionable legislative and regulatory strategies.
As Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX)—who retired as the senior Republican on the House Appropriations Committee and the most senior Republican woman in Congress—Jordon managed legislative, policy, and political operations for one of the most powerful offices in Washington. He played a central role in shaping billions in federal appropriations across defense, intelligence, homeland security, and civilian agencies, giving him unparalleled insight into how government funding decisions are made.
Jordon’s effectiveness stems from a rare combination of insider knowledge and operational credibility. As a nuclear-trained submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, he served as foreign liaison for the Chief of Naval Operations, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of Defense. He later served as Special Advisor to the Director of Naval Nuclear Propulsion—a dual DoD/DOE role overseeing governmental affairs for the nation’s submarine and aircraft carrier programs—where he navigated the most sensitive corridors of the defense and energy establishments.
Since transitioning to the private sector, Jordon has led government relations and corporate strategy initiatives across six continents, working with Fortune 500 companies, sovereign wealth funds, and emerging technology leaders. His client work spans cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, and energy infrastructure—sectors at the heart of U.S.-China competition and the future of national security policy. He excels at building bipartisan coalitions, positioning clients for federal contracts and grants, and managing complex stakeholder environments where business strategy and geopolitics intersect.
Jordon also serves as Entrepreneur in Residence at Columbia University and Brown University, where he co-leads their respective “Future of Work” programs, keeping him connected to emerging talent and innovation trends shaping policy debates.
